A struggle that doesn’t make sense…
That’s what life feels like now.
You jerk awake in the middle of the night, heart pounding… covered in sweat.
You’d give anything to get rid of these nightmares and enjoy a decent night’s sleep.
Flashbacks surge out of nowhere, transporting you back to that terrible time. A backfiring car or a pan falling in the kitchen sends you reeling.
It’s like you’re frozen in time, trapped by pain that won’t let you go.
Do you even remember the last time you felt GOOD?
Safety is gone. Tension has invaded every corner of your life, leaving you constantly on edge.
Real conversations are exhausting, so you just talk about surface-level stuff. And even then, your body is there, but your mind is somewhere else.
When traumatic memories control your every move, you can forget about enjoying the present moment.
They say patience is a virtue…
Unfortunately, it’s in short supply these days.
It seems you’re always “losing it” or overreacting to something – even small stuff that doesn’t matter.
And it’s getting you in trouble. Your partner’s patience is wearing thin, and they’re starting to notice at work.
If you don’t get a grip soon, you might lose everything you’ve worked so hard for.
“Trauma is a fact of life. It does not, however, have to be a life sentence.”
–Peter A. Levine
We have exactly what you need!
You don’t have to have PTSD to benefit from trauma therapy. Many people with anxiety or depression have traumatic incidences that must be dealt with to heal.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR brings healing to memories that previously caused pain by reorganizing them from within.
Stimulating both sides of your brain with eye movements, tapping, or sounds helps your brain retrieve and reprocess disturbing traumatic memories.
When these memories are reprocessed and stored correctly, you can move past and remember the event without the painful, intense emotions.
Brainspotting
A “Brainspot” is a type of “physiological capsule” that holds painful experiences that, when triggered, wreak havoc on your life.
These Brainspots are accessed through specific eye positions.
When reprocessed, previously painful events, beliefs, and behavior patterns can be quickly resolved.
Parts Work
Like EMDR and Brainspotting, Parts Work is another brain-based therapy mode.
In this modality, neural networks developed over your lifetime are targeted for reconfiguration. These networks (or parts of us) can hold painful memories, feelings, beliefs, and behavioral patterns.
Accessing these parts through visualization, mindfulness, and guided imagery allows you to restore and rebuild parts of you that have previously been full of pain, shame, and sadness.
Whatever threw your life off-course…
It’s now demanding your attention. It’s time to answer the call.
Therapy is an opportunity to empower yourself and finally heal from the past that’s held you back for so long.
